What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a link that allows a third-party website or affiliate network to identify that a visitor was referred by LustIcons.

If the visitor later completes a qualifying action, such as registering, subscribing, making a purchase or completing another action defined by the third party, LustIcons may receive a commission or referral payment.

How LustIcons may earn money

LustIcons may participate in affiliate or referral programs offered directly by third-party platforms or through affiliate networks.

Depending on the particular program, compensation may be triggered by actions such as:

• a new account registration;
• a paid subscription;
• a purchase;
• a deposit or transaction;
• a qualifying lead; or
• another action defined by the applicable affiliate program.

The specific compensation structure is determined by the applicable third-party program and may change over time.

No extra cost to you

In ordinary affiliate arrangements, using a LustIcons affiliate link does not increase the price charged to the visitor.

Any purchase price, subscription price, service fee or other charge is determined by the third-party website.

LustIcons does not control the pricing, billing practices, refunds, subscriptions or other commercial terms of external services.

Not every external link is monetized

LustIcons contains many external links because linking to public destinations is an important part of making performer profiles useful.

Some of those links may be eligible for affiliate monetization. Others remain ordinary direct links.

A link may remain non-commercial because:

• no affiliate program is available;
• LustIcons does not participate in the available program;
• the link is being used primarily as an editorial or reference source;
• the destination is intentionally excluded from monetization; or
• the particular placement is not configured as a commercial link.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not determine whether a performer receives a profile on LustIcons.

They also do not determine:

• which aliases are recorded;
• which platforms are associated with a performer;
• what publicly sourced information is included in a profile;
• how research is conducted;
• whether a platform is mentioned;
• how performer profiles are categorized; or
• whether editorial or reference information is favorable to a particular platform.

How LustIcons manages outbound links

LustIcons uses a centralized outbound-link management system for many external destinations.

This allows us to keep the underlying performer information organized while managing outbound destinations consistently.

In some cases, a visitor may first pass through a LustIcons-managed outbound URL before being redirected to the intended third-party website.

Where an external destination is eligible for affiliate monetization, the system may apply the appropriate referral information when the visitor leaves LustIcons.

The same external domain may also have ordinary non-affiliate links elsewhere on LustIcons.

Third-party tracking and cookies

Affiliate programs may use cookies, referral identifiers, tracking parameters or similar technologies to determine whether a qualifying action resulted from a LustIcons referral.

These technologies are operated by the applicable third party or affiliate network and are subject to that organization’s own privacy policy and terms.

Once you leave LustIcons, we do not control the cookies, tracking, privacy practices or data collection of the external website.

No endorsement or guarantee

An affiliate relationship does not mean LustIcons guarantees, endorses or assumes responsibility for the external platform, service or company.

Third-party websites control their own:

• content;
• services;
• pricing;
• subscriptions;
• payment systems;
• privacy practices;
• terms of service; and
• customer support.

Visitors should review the relevant third-party terms and policies before using an external service.

Affiliate relationships may change

Affiliate programs change frequently.

LustIcons may join, leave, pause or modify participation in affiliate programs without changing the informational purpose of the underlying performer profile or external destination.

A link that is monetized today may become a direct link later, and a currently non-commercial destination may become eligible for affiliate routing in the future.

This allows LustIcons to manage commercial relationships without rewriting the underlying performer information whenever an affiliate arrangement changes.

Sponsored content and paid placements

Affiliate links are not the same thing as sponsored editorial content.

If LustIcons publishes content or placement that is specifically paid for, sponsored or provided in exchange for compensation, we may identify the commercial nature of that relationship where appropriate.

Ordinary affiliate eligibility alone does not mean that a performer profile or editorial mention is sponsored.
